Artist Biography
Die Alternative/Classic-Rock-Supergroup Them Crooked Vultures besteht aus Gitarrist und Sänger Josh Homme von den Queens of the Stone Age, Schlagzeuger Dave Grohl von Nirvana und den Foo Fighters sowie Bassist John Paul Jones von Led Zeppelin. Das Trio sprach schon 2005 über eine Zusammenarbeit, ließ dann aber zunächst nicht viel von sich hören, bis sie im Sommer 2009 bekanntgaben, dass sie in Los Angeles ein Album aufgenommen hätten. Die Band veröffentlichte im Herbst desselben Jahres ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum, eine druckvolle Sammlung von Rocksongs mit Prog-Rock-Elementen. ~ Heather Phares
